Celebrations and parties play a big part in our culture. And so it’s no news that many Chinese communities are already in full swing for the Chinese New Year celebration that officially starts Feb 14. So how are you preparing for the event? Want more Chinese New Year activities for the family to enjoy? Here are some ideas for you to consider:
If your family’s attending a Chinese New Year party or hosting one this month, make sure to get your daughter a nice girls chinese dress to wear. And just to make things even more fun for her, why not try face painting!
Not an artist? No problem. Face painting is not just for talented artists. Anyone can do it—especially you! Moms can learn face painting quickly. It’s just like doing a full make up but using water-based face paints instead. If you start practicing in your spare time, you will be ready to paint your daughter’s face for Chinese New Year! Get a couple of face-painting ideas today and try them on your daughter. Have fun!
Here are some tips for face painting:
Choose a brand that is non-toxic, highly tested, and safe for skin. They should be easy to wash off. Using non-FDA approved paints can cause allergic reactions to the skin.
Use sponges to fill up large areas of the face. Use small fine pointed brushes for more detailed work.
Always use a clean sponge, a supply of clean water, and lots of tissue!
Apply light colors first and allow paint to dry first before applying another coat or layer.
Better not do of a full face on younger kids. It’s best to work faster on them, so they don’t get bored or irritated.

A bunch of nice things I like start with the letter F like family, friend, and girly stuff that my little daughter probably loves just as much--flowers, fashion, fur and fuchsia. Wait! Did I just say fur? I meant faux fur!
Speaking of fur, do tigers have striped skin or striped fur? Well, anyways, do you still remember those tiger shoes I was talking about days ago? I really think they go well with girls Chinese dress. I saw another little girl in her little red Chinese dressJ wearing a pair the other day. She looked so cute! Now if you want to get the same reaction from people when they see your little girl on Chinese New Year, check out ourLove is in the Air Sale!

The dress features Navy Blue satin top and Navy Blue chiffon skirts. Navy Blue chiffon ribbon in back to create a beautiful bow. Two layers of skirts: Navy Blue chiffon over burgundy satin.
Lately, this Flower Girl Dress is gaining popularity among the bride-to-be's. The reason I gathered is that aside from the dress' good color, the fabric is comfortable for younger kids. Most of the brides I talked to liked the deeper color of shades and accessorize it with immaculate white flowers. I have to agree that it looks really great even on photos! I wish I could post photos of real flower girls here wearing Elite Dresses gowns but I'm a bit queasy on that issue. Parents might not want to expose their kid's photos in the internet so just to be safe I quit posting them.
(but hey if you insist, I'd be very glad to post them)
What's more exciting is (aside from the even lowered prices), there are baby sizes available now! It'll be nice to see matching dresses for you Flower Girl and a baby flower girl!
